Steve brings more than 40 years of experience from the public and private sector and strong consensus building skills, having managed a variety of contentious environmental issues. He has worked on several high profile, complex projects and programs throughout his career. At Solar Oysters, Steve serves as Business Manager responsible for coordinating marketing & sales, business plan development and implementation, identifying and responding to grant opportunities, and stakeholder engagement/outreach and permitting/licensing.
At EcoLogix Group, Steve provides strategic planning and stakeholder engagement services to various clients; in this role, he facilitates multi-stakeholder teams and provides support for environmental compliance and stewardship programs. Steve was Assistant Secretary at the Maryland Department of the Environment where he coordinated permitting, compliance, regulatory development, public outreach, strategic planning and internal services such as human resources, procurement, and information technology. Steve also has experience in the energy sector having worked at Baltimore Gas & Electric Company and Constellation Energy. In these roles he coordinated environmental compliance and sustainability programs. Steve holds Master of Science in Environmental Science from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science & Forestry and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Wildlife Management from Purdue University. Steve is a former board member for the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Steve enjoys fly fishing, reading non-fiction (especially compelling biographies), and Big Ten basketball……"Go Boilers!" |
